Finding the AREA of hands..........
MATH
We have been busy working on our addition facts and using base ten blocks to race to 100.
Our 100 Club has its first member! That means that we already have one student who can do 100 addition problems in five minutes!
We have started graphing our scores on line graphs. Remember that line graphs are perfect for looking at data over time.
Our Birthday picture graph is on display in the hallway. We used a birthday candle as our symbol representing one birthday, and we put that in our key.
We have surveyed and tallied our class to discover what our favorite insect is, our favorite fruit,
our favorite animal, and our favorite candy. This time some students let their symbol represent more than one vote.
We had a lot of fun stamping symbols on some graphs and gluing symbols on others.
We will be reviewing subtraction, especially regrouping.
Then it's on to multiplication!
